Planting for the Future
Years of conflict have stripped much of Syria’s land of its trees, leaving once-green areas bare and communities with fewer ways to grow their own food.
We’ve planted around 2,000 trees across Homs and rural Hama, choosing olive, cherry, and apricot trees for their lasting value.
As they grow, these trees will bring green back to the land, restore shade and healthier soil, and provide fruit, food, and income for local families. Olive trees in particular have deep roots in Syrian life and can bear fruit for generations, making every tree we plant an investment in the future of the communities around it.
