Literacy Courses & Workshops

Many parents of the children we teach never had the chance to learn to read and write, and that affects the whole family.

When parents can’t read, children are often less motivated to learn and have less help with schoolwork at home.

To change this, we run literacy courses for parents across as many of our locations as we can, giving them the reading and writing skills to support their children’s education and to gain confidence and independence in their own daily lives.
